Morgan Stanley Becomes Official First US Bank To Launch A Spot Bitcoin ETF
By Micah Zimmerman
Morgan Stanley launched its spot Bitcoin ETF, ticker MSBT, on NYSE Arca with a 0.14% expense ratio, the lowest among spot Bitcoin ETFs, directly challenging BlackRock's IBIT which holds $55 billion in assets. As the first major US bank to enter the market, it leverages its $6 trillion wealth management division to reach financial advisors and new investors. This move intensifies fee competition in the sector, which has seen billions in inflows since early 2024.
