Nunchuk Releases Open-Source Tools for Bitcoin Agents With Bounded Authority
By Micah Zimmerman
Nunchuk has released two open-source repositories: Nunchuk CLI, a command-line interface for managing Bitcoin wallets, and an 'Agent Skills' repository to help AI systems operate the CLI in common workflows. These tools promote a shared custody model with bounded authority, where AI agents can perform actions like wallet creation and transactions but are limited by policy-defined thresholds, requiring human approval for larger spends. The approach enables safe AI-driven Bitcoin automation while preserving user control over funds.
