Bhutan's government transferred 250 BTC, worth about US$18.4 million, to a new digital wallet, continuing a trend that has reduced its Bitcoin reserves by over 70% from a peak of nearly 13,000 BTC in October 2024 to around 3,524 BTC currently valued at US$260 million. In 2026 alone, Bhutan has moved approximately 3,247 BTC equivalent to over US$240 million. Analysts indicate these transfers may precede sales, following patterns seen in prior movements to entities like Galaxy Digital and OKX.
