He expressed optimism that the consensus will hold, allowing resolution of remaining issues like DeFi illicit activities and restrictions on public officials profiting from crypto. The bill, which passed the House in 2025, aims to clarify SEC and CFTC roles and replace enforcement-based regulation with a predictable framework.
