Economistas disseram que a IA não tiraria empregos — alguns agora admitem que estavam errados

A new study surveying 69 economists, 52 AI experts, and 38 superforecasters predicts that rapid AI progress will reduce US labor force participation from 62% to 54% by 2050, leading to about 10 million jobs lost directly to AI. Despite job losses, economists forecast annual GDP growth of 3.5% and AI experts 5.3% in the late 2040s under this scenario. The research highlights potential for extreme wealth inequality, with the top 10% of households holding 80% of total wealth by 2050.
