Hacker encontra brecha e cria 1 bilhão de tokens Polkadot (DOT)

A hacker exploited a vulnerability in the Hyperbridge protocol, a bridge between blockchains, to mint 1 billion fraudulent Polkadot (DOT) tokens on Ethereum, resulting in an estimated $237,000 loss. The attackers sold the fake tokens, causing the bridged DOT price to drop from $1.22 to near zero. Polkadot's mainnet was unaffected, but exchanges like Upbit and Bithumb paused DOT deposits and withdrawals, and DOT's price fell about 4%.
