The U.S. SEC's Division of Trading and Markets issued a statement clarifying registration requirements for interfaces used in crypto asset transactions. Self-custody wallets are exempt from registering as brokers, as they allow users to maintain control over their assets. This reduces regulatory burdens on non-custodial wallet providers.
