Tether moves over $70 million in bitcoin to reserves, on-chain data shows

Tether transferred 951 bitcoin worth $70.5 million from a Bitfinex wallet to its reserve address, aligning with its policy of allocating 15% of net realized profits to Bitcoin purchases quarterly. This has grown Tether's holdings to approximately 97,141 BTC, positioning it among the top corporate Bitcoin holders. The company also launched tether.wallet, a self-custodial app supporting USDT, BTC, and tokenized gold (XAU₮) for enhanced financial inclusion.
