A Polymarket trader turned a US$500 bet into over US$252,000 by capitalizing on a UFC scoring error misannounced by Bruce Buffer during UFC 327. Buffer initially declared Chris Padilla the winner, pushing his odds to 99.9%, but it was corrected to a majority draw, dropping odds to 50%. The trader bet on MarQuel Mederos when his win probability was just 0.1%, yielding a roughly 50,000% return.
