Yuga Labs has settled a lawsuit it filed in June 2022 against artists Jeremy Ripps and Ryder Cahen, accusing them of copying Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) cartoon ape images and selling lookalike NFTs. The settlement resolves the intellectual property dispute over the popular NFT collection. This development removes legal uncertainty for Yuga Labs and its BAYC ecosystem.
